Following the NOW Week in Jerusalem, you have the option to join Ruth on a three day tour. We will travel from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea region, northwards up the Mediterranean  coast, and then eastwards to the Sea of Galilee region.   It is a wonderful time to reflect on our week together with Ruth and Gil, and it gives us the opportunity to meet some local believers in Israel, as well as to have some special times of worship together.  We will have a wonderful tour guide travelling with us.   A special time, for sure!

 Itinerary

Day 1 – A DAY IN THE NEGEV

Drive from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea where you will be able to experience some time on the beach and in the water. We will also visit the waterfalls at En Gedi, – the region where David hid when being chased by King Saul. From there we will drive to the ancient fortress of Masada, and finally a visit to Arad, to see and experience the amazing “Fountain of Tears” created by my friend, Rick Wienecke. Check out Rick’s website- http://www.castingseeds.com/fountain.html
Our first night will be spent in Be’er Sheva at the Leonardo Hotel Negev http://www.leonardo-hotels.com/israel-hotels/beer-sheva-hotels     Possible evening of worship with Israeli believers…..

Day 2 – THE MEDITERRANEAN AND CARMEL REGION

An early start will take us northwards, following the contour of the Mediterranean coast via Cesarea and arriving at Atlit, the point where the first immigrants from Europe landed in Israel after the Holocaust. From there we visit the Carmel region, where the ‘showdown’ between Elijah and the prophets of Baal took place. From here we will make our way to the Galilee region where we will be spending our second night at the beautiful Ginosar village resort, on the shores of the Kinneret. ( Sea of Galilee)

An evening to worship and soak in the Lord’s presence.

Day 3 – SEA OF GALILEE

On our final day we will be spend our time around the Sea of Galilee, visiting various sites connected to Jesus’ life and ministry. We will also be able to visit the ‘Jesus Boat’ the ancient fishing boat that was found in recent years on the bottom of the Sea of Galilee. This fishing boat is believed to be from the time of Yeshua and the story of its retrieval from the bottom of the lake is remarkable.
We will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, travelling across to En Gev – one of the earliest Kibbutzim in Israel – where we will enjoy a fish lunch. This is a day to soak in the beauty of the landscape that we know that Jesus would have been seeing every day. In the evening we will return ‘home’ to our starting point in Jerusalem “Beit Yehuda’ for one more night in Jerusalem!
